Welcome to El-Bethel Church
At El Bethel Church, we know that inspiration opens hearts. An open heart is an open mind and an open mind is one that can practice tolerance, experience gratitude and feel the glory of God. It is our belief that God is present in all of us, but His active presence can only be felt through faith in Him. We are dedicated to the service of God and all his people, and our goal is to inspire you through the holiness of our dwelling and our services. We invite you to become a part of our growing congregation.
The Mission of the Church
I.To preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every Creature. (St. Mark 16:15)
II. To win souls for Christ (Proverbs 11:30) to teach those souls how to become Disciples of Christ. (Matt. 28:19,20) to prepare a people ready for Jesus return (Eph. 6:11)
III. To provide food & clothing for those in need (Matt 25:40) and assistance to our elderly and handicapped.
IV. To mend, reunite and rebuild the family unit (Luke 11:17) as to teach mothers and fathers how to properly provide for their households.
V. To restore lives that have been shattered as a result of abuse, whether that abuse has been emotional, physical or spiritual. (Psalm 51:12)
VI. To support, encourage and strengthen people to be strong and confident about who they are and who they hope to become. (Heb. 12:12)
VII. To provide programs that will teach our youth the importance of abstinence of drugs, illicit sex, alcohol abuse and the like. To share the love of God with them, that will keep them from getting involved with gangs. The children are our future. To provide tutoring for those in need of assistance in reading, math and computers (Proverbs 22:6)
VIII. To give assurance that we can overcome the past (Phil. 3:13) we must endure the present (Phil 4:13) and by all means conquer the future (Rom 8:37) and live a victorious life in this present world according to the Divine Word of God. (Phil 1:6) And with the help of God this we will do and more, for I know that with God “All things are possible. (Luke 1:37)

Bishop- Apostle
Marie Lackland
Our Pastor
Luke 4:18-19 -The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anoited me to preach the gospel to to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,19-To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Apostle Marie J. Lackland was born on March 31, 1955 in Cleveland, Mississippi, to the parentage of the late, Honorable Elijah and Dealia Johnson. She is the 10th of 13 children. As a child, she grew up loving to go to Church, even then, her main interest was hearing the Pastor preach the Word of God, for her parents taught her about the Lord Jesus, the Saviour of the world.
The Lord saved her at an early age, giving her the distinct honor and privilege to be a 'Born Again Believer' who loves God and loves His people. By God's Grace she was called into the ministry at the age of 25yrs old. Going any and everywhere for years preaching the Good News about Jesus Christ, whenever and wherever God would open a door. Nursing homes, jails, prisons, Churches, homes, streets, etc.
Apostle Lackland's greatest passion is sharing the Word of God, telling somebody that Jesus came down through 42 generations, died out on a Hill called Calvary, was buried but rose again from the dead the 3rd day morning for the sin of the world. She loves to Praise and Worship the Lord.
Apostle Lackland has been married to Deacon Charles Lackland for 14yrs, she is the proud mother of her Beloved son, Zachary Johnson, 3 precious grand-children, Jackie, Lil Zach and Kassie, as well as two great grand-children, Jada and Jackson.
She continues to humble herself under the Mighty Hand of God to continue to do all that He has assigned to her hands to do. Knowing there is no Safer Place than in the Perfect Will of God.
